A powerful symbol of protection, authority and prosperity, this striking Thao Wessuwan amulet was created under the name of Phra Ajarn Krishna of Wat Bang Chan, Bangkok, in 2022.
Known in Thai Buddhist and spiritual tradition as the King of the Yakshas, Thao Wessuwan is one of the Four Heavenly Kings and is revered as a guardian figure associated with protection, wealth and the safeguarding of those under his care.
The front features an imposing yaksha face, richly detailed with an elaborate crown and intricate golden relief against a vivid red enamel background. The fierce expression conveys strength, command and unwavering authority, while the ornate craftsmanship gives the amulet a distinctive presence. The reverse displays a circular sacred yantra surrounded by traditional inscriptions and decorative motifs, adding further spiritual character to the piece.
A Consecration of Significance
The year 2565 (2022) was an important period for Thao Wessuwan amulets associated with Phra Ajarn Krishna and Wat Bang Chan. A major consecration ceremony held at the temple on 3 September 2022 brought together 30 respected monks and masters to bless the Thao Wessuwan Roon Noon Duang amulets. The ceremony was presided over by Somdet Phra Phutthachan of Wat Traimit.
This large-scale gathering of revered monks makes the documented ceremony a notable part of the temple’s amulet history. The exact edition name of this particular piece should be confirmed before attributing it specifically to the Noon Duang series.
