9 Shots - Luang Pu Fan

The front presents a finely detailed portrait of Luang Pu Fan wearing his distinctive knitted cap. His cap and robes are finished in rich orange enamel, while two crossed revolvers rise behind him against a vivid, textured purple field.

Chae evokes the sharp mechanical sound of a firearm being operated or fired. Within Thai amulet culture, the “9 Shots” title and gun imagery express traditional beliefs connected with maha ut, kong kraphan and klaew klad—resilience, protection and safe passage through dangerous circumstances.

The reverse carries an especially commanding composition: a fierce tiger gripping a sacred blade, positioned before crossed firearms and crowned by an engraved yantra. The tiger represents courage, authority and the refusal to retreat, while the blade traditionally signifies cutting through danger, hostile influence and obstacles. Together, these elements form a powerful emblem of readiness, fearlessness and protection under pressure.
